Conclave Group,
This message should go a ways toward bringing everyone up to speed on next
weekend.
There's a lot here, so read it twice and email one of us any questions.
We now have 67 registered for conclave, which is great. Our goal was 75,
and we are close.
Some of you in that 67 are bringing your money, registration form, and
medical form to the bus on Friday.
It is essential that you show up with all the paperwork.
I still need a medical form from: Dakota Bird, Stuart Fried, David Gilliam,
Mikkie Goins, Philip Grooms, Kevin Martin, Douglas Melton, Vito Parisi, Ron
Pearman, and Chris Wilson. You guys need a signed CLASS 1 MEDICAL FORM to
board the bus. The form is attached.
The Conclave Bus leaves the Council Office at 5:00 P.M. SHARP on Friday.
Eat BEFORE you arrive.
Be dressed in your CLASS A and SASH. (Orange hats from our conclave would
be a nice touch.)
If you want a drink for the bus, make sure it has a screw on top. If you
get hungry, you can get snacks at the rest stop and consume them before
reboarding the bus. We should arrive at Mack Morris in time for Cracker
Barrell with the rest of conclave.
Again, you MUST be in your full CLASS A and OA Sash to board the bus. If
you show up at the bus out of your class A and sash, you will not ride the
bus.
We will be making a stop to pick up folks in Crossville at Exit 317 and meet
folks at the Walmart parking lot on Hwy 127. That's on the left about 1.5
miles from the interstate exit. We should be there by 6:00 P.M. Eastern
Daylight time or 5:00 P.M. Central Daylight time. I MUST know who wants to
be picked up there. Email me at <carter306 at charter.net> if you wish to be
picked up at the Walmart Crossville stop, please.
You will be checked on and off the bus at every stop by Gabe.
If you are planning to drive, please email me at <carter306 at charter.net>
I need to know all of the passengers in your car even if I already know you
are driving.
If you are carrying youth, I need to add your name, dirver's license#, and
your insurance info. to add to the tour permit.
TENTS are a MUST. We are in campsite 15 and there are no tents. The
campsite is tight, so plan and fill up your tent with folks when possible.
I suggest that you pack like a fellowship for the most part, and maybe
lighter. Pay attention to the weather and pack accordingly. You will be
pitching your tents in the dark, so I suggest a good headlamp as a must have
equipment item.
Meals are all provided by the conclave staff.
Conclave patches will be available for sale before we board the bus and
after we get to conclave Saturday morning.
Questions are welcome. Randy, please follow this message with corrections
and additions as you see fit.
Remember: The bus leaves the scout office at 5:00 PM SHARP.
If you are late we WILL NOT wait for you.
If you are not in a CLASS A and SASH you will not board.
If you owe us a medical form, please bring it.
I will follow this message later tonight or tomorrow with bus seat count
info.
Thanks much!
