Bob Woodruff has been able to get us a professional to put together a new
camp promotion video in exchange for a little bit of manual labor. Below is
the information from Bob, we need to have as much participation from the
lodge and troops for this service project. We will all benefit from an
updated camp promotion video. The individual has spent many hours at camp
this summer videoing summer camp activities to have a really good video.
Directions will be posted on the lodge website.
Randy, sorry I have taken so long to get this info to you about the work at
the fort in Corryton. The wood will be available for us at the site. The
farmer, Smiley Clapp, will have his tractor to pull the logs out of the
woods. It will be available to dig holes if needed. They are not sure as of
yet how they will build it but will by the time we are to be there. I have
set a date of August 29th at 9 am. All we need to bring are bodies, gloves
and food for lunch if we are there that long. They will provide water, logs,
tractor with auger if needed. The map can be accessed by
searching--battleoffortsanders.com--.
I have attached a map and directions from this web site. Please use the
directions for the reenactors for it leads to the house. This is where we
will meet. The address is 6704 Circle Rd., Corryton, Tn. 37721.
If this info could be placed with the OA for them to request people to
attend, I would be grateful. This is for payment of the promotional video of
Summer Camp at Buck Toms. Steve Dean, who is producing the video, has
requested adults only working on the project. I have talked to Jeff Bays,
who has said we can get this date in the GSMC web site.
I wish to have those who are willing to work on this project to call me or
Jeff. I believe we need to have a head count to make sure we have enough.
Another thought of this request for people, just came to me. Can this be a
request to Wood Badge SR 916 somehow?
My number at home is 865-688-9254 ------at work it is 865-594-2689. Jeff
Bays at work is 566-0639.
Thanks for your help Randy,
Bob Woodson
